๐ŸŽคMeet the next generation of Pacific storytellers who shone their light at the XIV Oceania Swimming Championships.
๐ŸŽฅ The initiative is The Reportersโ€™ Academy, supported by Oceania Aquatics and World Aquatics, which enabled eight trainees from the Fiji and Samoa swimming federations to take part in a media development programme focused on amplifying the voices of Pacific swimmers.

๐Ÿ’งWhat makes this programme particularly powerful is that every trainee is also a swimmer. These young athletes are stepping out of the water and into the role of journalists, interviewing competitors, researching backgrounds, crafting thoughtful questions, photographing events, and producing articles that celebrate the journeys of swimmers from across the Pacific Islands.
๐Ÿ™Thank you for all your incredible work Charlina Simpson, Jacob Rova, Andrea Schuster (Samoa), Moana Liebregts, Louise Rakaria, Aditanaivua Rakaria, Jaylene Paulo. Led by Rosie Ogunade from The Reportersโ€™ Academy with Katy Atkinson.
